A healthcare provider is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join their team in Greater London. The successful candidate will provide essential services including blood sample collection safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with Trust policies. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of practical phlebotomy experience, with experience on hospital wards considered essential. The position requires effective communication with patients and adherence to Health and Safety guidelines, with shifts spanning Monday to Sunday.
Band 2 Part Time Ward & Community Phlebotomists
Part time ward & Community phlebotomists required at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Queen Mary's Hospital and Community sites.
The successful candidate will be part of a team and based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital working daily on our busy wards. However, the candidate will also be required to work cross sites and any associated outreach clinics within the Trust when required. These include clinics at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, Eltham Community Hospital and various other Community sites in Bexley and Greenwich.
The candidate must have at least 6 months experience working as a phlebotomist. Experience working on Hospital Wards is ESSENTIAL.

The working days are Monday to Sunday between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in shifts which cover these days and hours.

Job Summary:
The post holder will be expected to carry out the following duties under the supervision of qualified staff and in accordance with appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs), policies and Health and safety guidance:
To collect blood samples from patients as requested by an authorised officer, by means of venepuncture, skin puncture or other approved methods. Requests for blood will be for a large variety of routine Key Result Areas & Performance:

£24,465 a year per annum plus HCAS pro rata for part time
