Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on‑boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (Enhanced).

About the role :

It is an exciting and transformational time working with the Hertfordshire and West Essex NHS ICB. Sonic Healthcare UK will be taking on the management of Phlebotomy and Pathology Laboratories in the geography including a phlebotomy cohort of circa 150 Phlebotomists.

Full time Phlebotomist required for busy department. Experience preferred but not essential as training will be given.

To perform venepuncture on patients in Outpatient department, in a ward setting and in GP surgeries / Health clinics.

We are looking for experienced phlebotomists able to work in wards, OPD, community clinics, Domiciliary and GP surgeries. You will also be required to work Saturday and Sunday mornings on a rota.Car drivers essential to these roles.

Key duties will include :

To be a valued member of a motivated team with a patient care focus. To ensure professional and technical standards are maintained within the services at all times.

Taking blood samples from in‑patients, out‑patients and at GP surgeries, domiciliary and community.

To follow department SOP’s and best practice at all times.
