We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic research student to undertake a fully funded PhD on exploring, mapping and fostering Social Infrastructure. The study will focus on the town of Staveley (Chesterfield) as a case study. The deadline for applications is October 10th.

Qualifications and disciplinary areas
  • We would welcome applications from candidates from a range of disciplinary areas and expertises, including:
  • Public and Social Policy
  • Human, Social and Economic Geography
  • Planning, Architecture
  • Social Sciences (Social Capital and Social Infrastructure theory; Social Network Analysis)

Experience or commitment to undertake mixed-methods, interdisciplinary research and knowledge of visual, mapping and participatory action research would be an advantage.
