Job Summary

The post holder will work in the Radiopharmacy section of the Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering and will prepare Radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

This is a very exciting time for the Radiopharmacy team as we are about to hand over a brand new state‑of‑the‑art Radiopharmacy aseptic facility.

The successful candidate’s main duties will initially involve performing the various quality control procedures required to enable the new facility to gain a Manufacturing Specials Licence granted by the MHRA.

Main Hours of Work are currently 06:30 to 14:30, Monday to Friday.

Main Duties
  • Performing cleaning and process verification tests for the new Radiopharmacy alongside the assistant technical officers.
  • Aseptically preparing, labelling and performing quality control on and supplying radiopharmaceuticals and radio‑labelled bloods.
  • Assisting with preparing and maintaining worksheets, SOPs, records and other documents.
