Job summary

A progressive health practice in Hounslow is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Technician to enhance patient care through safe and effective medicines use. You will manage prescriptions, conduct medication reviews, and support quality initiatives, collaborating with a diverse healthcare team. The ideal candidate is a registered Pharmacy Technician with experience in a GP or PCN environment. This role offers a dynamic work environment focused on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience or training in clinical audit, prescribing safety, or medicines management.
  • Knowledge of high-risk drug monitoring and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage repeat prescription processes ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Conduct basic medication reviews under pharmacist supervision.
  • Support medicines optimisation and formulary compliance.
  • Assist with patient queries regarding medications.
  • Co-ordinate medication reviews and ensure accurate record keeping.

Skills

Qualified Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Experience in a GP practice or PCN environment
Good communication skills
Knowledge of SystmOne or similar GP clinical systems
Ability to conduct medication reviews

Education

Good general education, including GCSE in English and Maths
Completion of or working towards a Primary Care or Medicines Optimisation qualification
