Overview

Are you interested in a rewarding career in pharmacy? Do you want to work as a registered professional who assists pharmacists with tasks such as dispensing medicines, providing health advice, and managing the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy? If so, this apprenticeship may be for you.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve the best possible outcomes through a person’s medicines by managing, ordering, receiving, maintaining and supplying medicines and other pharmaceutical products safely, legally and effectively, whilst meeting regulatory standards.
  • Provide person-centred health advice to all patients, whether on prescription or over the counter, and refer them to other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
  • Support the management of the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy, including clinical governance, business operations and processes, and supervise other pharmacy staff.
  • Provide training to pharmacy and wider healthcare teams, such as for new members of staff.
  • Maintain a quality service through auditing and evaluating the service and processes, and respond to feedback.
  • You will gain a nationally recognised qualification at Level 3, enabling registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.

Salary

£11 per hour
