We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Onley, a category C prison located in Rugby. On-site parking, on-site gym, and plenty of training and development opportunities.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week. Shifts from 7.30am – 6.30pm, working 3-4 days a week. This is based on a 3 week rolling rota and working 1 in 3 weekends, 8am-6.30pm.

Salary: This is a full-time position; you’ll receive an annual salary up to £40,211 FTE – depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide outstanding quality-based, patient-centered care, listening to and acting on patient feedback to personalise care.
  • Focus on a safe and secure medicines management service, maintain patient medical records to the agreed standard, and follow standard operating procedures to a high standard.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, including timely administration of medicines and cost-effective prescribing as defined by the Health in Justice medicines policy.
  • Collaborate as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Qualifications and experience
  • NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Up to date with Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

  • Able to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures
