Overview

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK independently, with a visa or immigration status that allows them to fulfil the full duration and type of contract offered. The Trust is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Location

The post is based in the pharmacy department at Darent Valley Hospital and duties will span both dispensaries and the pharmacy stores.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the supply of medicines to the public and to in-patients on wards using our automated robot and Omnicell cupboards; full training will be given.
• Greet staff and patients attending the dispensary reception.
• Electronically log prescription details onto the pharmacy tracking system to assist in ensuring efficient workflow.
• Check and supply pharmacy stocks at ward level against agreed lists.
• Deliver medications to the wards and return medications to the wards as required.

Training and Development

Full training and support will be provided as you must commit to undertaking the Pharmacy Services Assistant level 2 Apprentice program.

Experience

Previous experience of working in a customer care setting is desirable and exposure to working in a healthcare setting would be an advantage.
