Qualifications

  • Be an active member of the Pharmaceutical team.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Part Time Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Lewes, a category B/C Prison located in Sussex.

HMP Lewes is a male prison that has a capacity for 742 inmates and is recruiting for a Pharmacy Assistant to support with duties such as labelling, stock taking, checking, collections etc.

Hours

0730 - 1630
3 days per week (22.5 hours)

Salary

This position is Part Time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £29,837 per annum FTE – depending on experience. The salary will be pro rata for 22.5 hours per week.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

What you'll be doing
  • Complete general dispensary duties and stock management
  • Be an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
  • Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings
  • Receive prescriptions and stick returns from wing based clinical areas
  • Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of return
  • Participate in dispensing of prescriptions
