We are looking for committed individuals who are keen tojoin the world of hospital pharmacy and our friendly teams, to make adifference to patient care, who are at the heart of everything in the pharmacy. We currently have full and part time opportunities at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester, and at the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch .

You will often be the first point of contact for health careprofessionals across the hospital and members of the public using our service. You must be self-motivated, able to pay attention to detail, be able to work todeadlines and have strong communication skills.

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team workingclosely with Pharmacists, Technicians and other Assistants.

You will have the opportunity as part of the assistant role to work in all aspects of the pharmacy.

All of these duties require a high level of accuracy, anability to work efficiently within each designated team, and flexibility toundertake varied tasks within your working day.

Job responsibilities
  • Picking, packing and assembling medicines in stock distribution.
  • Pharmacy stores receiving and processing orders.
  • Manning the reception within the dispensary, speaking to both staff and patients and dealing with queries.
  • Supplying medicines to wards and departments bymeans of a top-up.
  • Duties within our sterile preparation suites.
  • Delivery of medication to wards and departments.
  • Replenishing specialist emergency boxes
  • Participate in established Bank Holiday andWeekend Rotas until the introduction of 7 day working when contracted hours will be undertaken over 7 days.
