Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at King’s College Hospital London. As a vital member of our Pharmacy Services, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of outpatient pharmacy services. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary, including an annual bonus.

Role Overview:

The Pharmacist will work closely with the Pharmacy Manager, providing day-to-day leadership and management for all Pharmacy Services when acting as the Responsible Pharmacist. Key responsibilities include:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of outpatient pharmacy services at King’s College Hospital London, following national and local standards.
  • Provide leadership and act as a role model for the support staff of KCH outpatient pharmacy.
  • Fulfil statutory responsibilities as required by the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Department of Health.
  • Contribute to the development of a high-quality and timely outpatient service for patients.
  • Develop effective working relationships with prescribers.
  • Contribute to the development of appropriate additional clinical or patient-centered services.
  • Contribute to the optimization and development of the overall profitability of the business.
  • Contribute to the efficient management and administration of the business.

Requirements:

  • Registered Pharmacist with relevant qualifications.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of national and local pharmacy standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
