Pharmacist – Plymouth (Full‑time, Permanent)

Hours per week: 44

Overview

Our pharmacies offer a range of frontline NHS services, including emergency prescriptions and Urgent Care. You will provide both NHS and private services, using excellent communication skills and empathy. Safety is paramount, and the role requires strong leadership and teamwork to bring out the best in others.

Daily responsibilities include dispensing, delivering services, managing the pharmacy team and ensuring excellent patient service. You will conduct contractual and enhanced services in line with company SOPs, GPhC guidelines, and standards.

Reporting directly to the Pharmacy Practice Manager, you will support the delivery of agreed KRAs, review performance, and engage with colleagues to drive continuous improvement. Our in‑store, regional and home office teams fully support all clinical or service‑based queries.

Regular feedback, business updates and opportunities to gain further accreditations for additional services, funded by Asda, will be provided.

Qualifications
  • Fully qualified pharmacist registered with the GPhC.
  • Accredited to deliver national and local services for the NHS and private healthcare.
  • Excellent customer and patient care skills.
  • Driven and ambitious to ensure the pharmacy meets business targets.
  • Proven leadership skills in a fast‑paced pharmacy environment.

Applicants must hold a valid GPhC registration, evidence of the right to work in the UK, relevant safeguarding qualifications, and will undergo a DBS check and enrol in the live update service. The successful candidate will demonstrate qualifications and identity through appropriate documentation.
