Job description
Overview

KFM is seeking a Pharmacist to join our Outpatient Pharmacy Service at Denmark Hill, London. You will act as the Responsible Pharmacist, support the Pharmacy Manager and lead daily operations, ensuring safe, efficient and patient-centered delivery of services in line with GPhC and Department of Health requirements. You will provide leadership to support staff, foster relationships with prescribers and clinical teams, contribute to medicines management and service development, and help optimise patient care while minimising locum use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, efficient, and effective outpatient pharmacy services.
  • Act as the Responsible Pharmacist, ensuring compliance with GPhC and Department of Health requirements.
  • Lead and support pharmacy staff, modelling excellence and facilitating performance and development.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with prescribers and clinical teams.
  • Contribute to clinical services, medicines management, and operational efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with the Pharmacy Manager and Superintendent Pharmacist.
  • Maintain SOPs, support audits, and ensure safe storage and disposal of medicines.
  • Promote extended roles for technicians and the use of technology within the service.

Shift Pattern

Based at Kings College Hospital London. Opening times Monday – Friday 8am – 9pm; Weekends and Bank Holidays 9am – 5pm. 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis.

Requirements
  • Enhanced level of DBS check required.
  • UK professional registration current at time of application.

Salary: £54,150 – £60,900 per year + up to 12% annual bonus (depending on experience)
