Job summary

Job description

Due to business growth, we are looking to expand our Aseptic Services Unit. As a Pharmaceutical Operator, you would be responsible for cleaning the Suite 6 aseptic rooms and carrying out isolator planned and unplanned bio-decontamination. This role will be 37.5 per hours a week Sunday-Thursday, 10pm - 6am and it will be based in Runcorn. Fresenius Kabi is a global healthcare company that specializes in lifesaving medicines and technologies for infusion, transfusion and clinical nutrition. The company's products and services are used to help care for critically and chronically ill patients. Our product portfolio included a comprehensive range of IV generic drugs, infusion therapies and clinical nutrition products as well as the medical devices for administering these products.

Responsibilities
  • Working in the controlled atmosphere of isolators during the production process
  • Working within the ASU whilst gowning to the required standards and operations procedures
  • Cleaning Suite 6 rooms according to the defined method on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Carrying out isolator planned and unplanned bio-decontamination
  • Assembling batches as per batch documentation, completing all necessary paperwork and transferring materials into the ASU
  • Reviewing post compound documentation to ensure that the product produced is to the required standard and labelling the product according to the defined procedure
  • Assembling raw materials for batches in accordance with the received batch documentation
  • Working to a production plan to deliver batches to the compounding schedule
  • Maintaining production output through supporting continuous workflows
  • Ensuring all materials and components are replenished in preparation for start-up on the next shift
  • Carrying out documentation duties required under good manufacturing practice
  • Ensuring areas are maintained and cleaned in accordance with 'good housekeeping' practise and standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring the appropriate disposal of waste from the grade C area is in accordance with current standards
Qualifications
  • Organised Pharmaceutical Technician with experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing or Aseptic units or experience in GMP; keen to develop process-driven experiences and skills from an alternative role; Aseptic or Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience ideal but not essential
  • Good communication skills to ensure active motivation and good teamwork
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Able to deal with stress and absorb pressures
  • IT literate and strong numerical skills
  • Trained in manual handling procedures and health & safety awareness
  • A good understanding of cGMP requirements
  • Able to work in a small, close room environment
