PEST CONTROL TECHNICIAN | £32K P/A | SOUTHAMPTON | FULL TIME | PERMANENT
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver high-quality pest control and inspection services to residential and commercial clients, meeting SLAs and KPIs for quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Inspect premises to identify pests, entry points, risks, and root causes, and carry out appropriate treatments safely in line with Health, Safety, and Quality guidelines.
  • Communicate clearly with customers by sharing pest risks, relevant legislation, maintenance requirements, hygiene concerns, and proactive prevention recommendations, both verbally and in writing.
  • Complete accurate service reports and records using Android/PDA technology, including all visit details and findings.
  • Remove and dispose of infestation evidence safely and appropriately and share relevant advice and sales leads with the sales team.
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus by providing clear, compelling customer stories and examples of service excellence.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in pest control.
  • A full driving licence.
  • RSPH Level 2 Award in pest management.
  • Broad knowledge of pest control/bird control and enthusiasm to apply practically.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues with the team.
  • Understanding that service is not just the technical elements of the role, but also the nature of positive human relationships.
  • Ability to work in a variety of conditions, including confined spaces, damp or dusty locations, freezing conditions, and hot conditions.
