Personal Casual Care Assistant - Liverpool - £14.50p/h (double time bank holidays!)

We’re looking for a passionate Care/Support Worker to join our team in the Anfield area! You’ll be supporting our client who is quadriplegic following an acquired brain injury, by helping them live an independent and fulfilling life at home and in the local community. While clinical experience is a plus, this role is all about finding the right person who brings a positive, can-do attitude, and a friendly, upbeat personality. You’ll work alongside a small, supportive team in the client’s family home where your energy and care will truly make a difference. About us at Salvere Support Here at Salvere Support we support individual clients in their own homes. Our small teams of Personal Assistants provide bespoke, person centered care to really make a difference in our clients lives. You’ll only be working with one client which enables you to truly get to know them and make a meaningful difference each day.

Hours This will be a casual role across two days (which can be flexible) which may require you to work up to 21 hours per week. Please note the shadowing and training will be during office hours. (9am to 5pm)

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.

Who we are looking for You must be self motivated, well organised, reliable and an excellent team player. You will need to have a good sense of humour. As well as being a naturally caring, confident and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with experience of:

  • Personal care, support to manage incontinence, and measures to maintain a good skin state.
  • Catheter Care.
  • Moving and Handling (including hoisting and position changes).
  • Domestic duties (Laundry, cleaning, cooking nutritious meals).
  • Gastrostomy care and administration of prescribed feed, fluid and medication.
  • Monitoring of general health and well being, and daily record keeping.
  • Supporting and communicating with someone who is non verbal.

You should also have

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness.
