A support service provider in Cromer is seeking a Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker to provide essential one-to-one care for individuals with Physical/Learning Disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care tasks, medication management, and meal preparation. Candidates must possess good interpersonal skills, a warm nature, and relevant experience. The position offers a guaranteed permanent role of 17.5 hours per week with a pay rate of £12.60 per hour and involves a flexible weekly schedule. Prior work experience is crucial, and a valid driver's license is required.
Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a person with a Physical/Learning Disability living in the Blantyre area.
You would be required to provide one‑to‑one care and assistance within their home including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage the individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
Favourite activities are watching Football on TV, going out for Lunch and Bowling.
House can be busy with family coming and going with children and small dogs.
Experience is required.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Recruiting for 1 position – Guaranteed permanent position of 17.5 hours per week.
Weekly rota – Example: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday including every 2nd weekend. Some overtime available for weekends. Earliest start would be 9 am to assist with morning routine; a typical shift would end at the latest 3 pm. Days will be discussed at interview.
Hourly rate: £12.60
