Job summary

Job Purpose

I am a mother of three children and am looking for someone to provide parenting support and practical help around the home. I experience chronic fatigue and have mobility issues, so daily tasks can be very challenging to complete.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparing the children for school and ensuring timely attendance.
  • Support when the children return from school.
  • Help with batch cooking and meal planning.
  • Perform light household tasks such as laundry, tidying and maintaining a safe and hygienic home environment.
  • Support with completing medical paperwork, accessing therapy and managing health.
Required Qualities / Experience
  • Flexible, reliable and consistent.
  • Patient, respectful, caring, understanding and compassionate.
  • Must like dogs.
  • Experience with children, especially those with sensory issues.
Compensation & Working Hours

Rate of pay: £12.38 per hour for employed and £14.94 per hour for self‑employed PA. 8 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday: 08:15–09:15 (school prep/drop‑off) and 15:15–16:15 (child return and domestic tasks). Daily plans will be discussed further at the interview.

Holiday Entitlement

The annual holiday entitlement is equivalent to the work normally expected during 5.6 consecutive weeks.

Legal & Training Requirements
  • A satisfactory enhanced DBS check (cost covered by the employer).
  • Satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer.
  • Completion of a 6‑month satisfactory probationary period.
