Job summary

Qualifications

Below is the previous job description that I put on the Ukcil.com 3 years ago. Now he is 21 years old, studying at Leeds City College Joseph Priestley Centre. His current PA is preparing for university exam and leaving for work, so that we need a new PA, she does 2 hours per week, play games, read books, play badminton in the garden if the weather is good, ride bikes or just walk a while, or walk to library or take a bus to Headingley shopping to help improve his independence. With your skills, you may teach him to do activities that you enjoy like yoga, gardening etc, I would like his PA to be able to take him to the trampoline park sometimes as well.

We are recruiting a PA for my son -18 years old with Autism, he is gentle and very good to work with. (He currently has a PA working with him 2 hours per week) We hope you are reliable, enthusiastic and has some understanding of Autism. You may work 1-2 hours per week (after school or weekend), either at home or participating in community activities, or sports activities like gym, running, bicycle. You will be paid 12.5-15 pounds per hour (from Leeds CIL) at the beginning, it depends on your experience. Leeds CIL approved PA preferred, experience of working with children with autism preferred but not essential.
