Job summary

A support services organization in Holywood seeks female applicants for various roles to assist a 40-year-old woman with fluctuating disabilities. Responsibilities include personal care, household tasks, and advocacy. The position offers flexible hours, including breakfast calls and ad-hoc daytime or evening hours. Responsibilities

  • Prepare food and drinks; perform household tasks.
  • Prompt and supervise medications and physiotherapy.
  • Assist with personal care.
  • Review tasks and assist with planning.
  • Advocate for the client.
  • Drive as needed.

Job description

Provide support for a 40 year old woman with fluctuating disabilities with personal, domestic and social tasks.Please see Further Information.

Responsibilities
  • Prepping food & drinks.Household tasks e.g. dishes, household cleaning, wiping down windows, taking out bins, laundry (Breakfast call role and Ah-hoc daytime/ evening role).
  • Prompting / supervising medications & physio (Breakfast call role and Ah-hoc daytime/ evening role).
  • Assisting with personal care as required (Breakfast role).
  • Reviewing what needs done (organisational role).
  • Assisting with planning (organisational role).
  • Assisting with prioritising (organisational role).
  • Assisting with brain-storming / problem-solving (organisational role).
  • Assisting with communication (organisational role).
  • Advocating for client (organisational role).
  • Driving (Ah-hoc daytime/ evening role).
Skills and Qualifications
  • Female applicants only as it is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Article 10(2) (b) (i) of the Sex Discrimination (NI) Order 1976 (as amended).
  • Able to use own initiative.
  • Good at listening to & following instructions.
  • Respects importance of & able to follow good infection control.
  • OK with dogs.

Further Information

Three different job roles available, applicants can apply for one or multiple roles.1. Breakfast calls 7 x 1 hour calls, which would need split between 2 workers. Mon-Fri 8am-9am, Sat 8:30am-9:30am, Sun 8:30am-9:30am (1 Sunday in 4 may change to 7:45-8:45am).2. Ad-hoc daytime / evening hours (zero hours contract, or could be added onto breakfast hours as variable hours contract if same person interested in both). No set hours, would be contacted to see if free when needed.3. Organisation & communication assistance. Timing flexible & may vary week-to-week.
