Job summary

A local support services provider in Folkestone is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to support adults with mental health and learning disabilities. In this role, you will assist service users in daily activities and appointments, help them achieve their personal goals, and foster independence. Overview

Liberty Lodge Ltd is a local, independent provider of support services for people with diverse and often complex needs in a supported living setting in Folkestone. Full time/ Part time positions are available supporting adults with Mental Health & Learning Disabilities across our supported living units, working alongside our friendly team.

Role Overview

Your job as a Personal Assistant is to ensure our Service Users lead valued and fulfilling lives, helping them to reach their potential and achieve to the best of their ability. Being a Support Worker with us means you may be helping our service users on a 24 hours basis.

  • You may support them to go to daycare, do personal tasks, do household jobs or enjoy their favourite hobby, through to more exciting tasks such as planning a holiday.
  • You will support them at medical/dental/opticians appointments, making sure they understand what's going on.
  • Your role will be varied and no two days will be the same. You need to be a good listener, observer and understand and support the individual needs of each client.
  • The role requires flexibility and shift work, covering days and nights over 24hrs.
Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for experienced support workers, with can do attitudes and good values. You will work together with people’s family, friends and the professionals who get involved in their lives. Together you will support the person to enable them to live independently and achieve their ambitions.

Previous experience & Level 3 preferred but training will be provided for the right candidate. All applications will be subject to DBS checks and references.
