Job description
Personal Advisor - Solihull

Full-Time, Temporary

37 hours per week

6 months contract

£16.90-19.32 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and review Pathway Plans in collaboration with the young person, social worker, and other agencies to ensure goals related to health, education, employment, and housing are met.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key agencies, family, and carers to ensure a co-ordinated and effective support system for young people.
  • Assist young people in securing and sustaining accommodation by working with housing officers and benefit agencies to assess needs and entitlements.
  • Support young people in developing the practical skills needed for independent living, such as financial management, household tasks, and accessing resources.
  • Act as an advocate for the young person, helping them express their needs, challenge decisions, and make their own choices about their future.
  • Provide regular updates and summaries on the progress of allocated young people to ensure the effective delivery of support and timely review of Pathway Plans.
  • Oversee the transition to adulthood by taking over support from a social worker, often just before the young person's 18th birthday, to provide consistent support.
