Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust are excited to offer this new role for a specialist Perinatal Pelvic Health Midwife. This role will help ensure delivery of our ambition for all women to receive education and advice around pelvic health during their maternity journey.
The role will require close partnership working and collaboration with the Women's Health physiotherapist service and the lead Consultant for the service, as well as partnership working with the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS). The post holder will be a champion for Perinatal Pelvic Health Service (PPHS) and they will be responsible for promoting good quality midwifery and obstetric‑led interventions, working in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team to enhance prevention of pelvic health injury in pregnancy and birth including supporting the delivery of the Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injury (OASI) bundle, identifying women at risk of pelvic floor injury and providing training and education for staff and service users around pelvic floor exercises.
