Our People team sits at the heart of Marshmallow, partnering with leaders across the business to build high-performing, inclusive, and engaged teams. Within this, our Technology organisation – spanning Engineering, Data Science & Analytics, and Product is a critical driver of Marshmallow’s growth and innovation. By closely partnering with the CTO and Tech leadership, the People team helps shape organisational design, supports leadership capability, and champions a culture where teams are empowered, collaborative, and continuously improving.
Partner with the CTO and Technology leadership (Engineering, Data Science & Analytics, Product) to shape and deliver people strategies that enable high performance and growth
Provide strategic guidance on organisational design, workforce planning, and team effectiveness across the UK Technology organisation
Act as a trusted coach to leaders on performance, development, engagement, and team dynamics, using data and insights to inform decisions
Lead on frontline employee relations support for multiple UK business areas, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes
Drive the implementation of core People programmes (e.g. performance, talent development, engagement, reward cycles) within Tech, in close collaboration with wider People teams
Champion an inclusive, values-led culture and identify opportunities to improve people processes and the overall employee experience across the UK business
Build trusted relationships quickly; earn credibility with senior leaders while staying approachable. You bring proven People Partner experience supporting Technology teams, with comprehensive employee lifecycle knowledge.
Pragmatic problem-solver in complex situations with hands-on UK employee relations expertise, understanding of employment legislation, and a track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
Strategic thinker who rolls up their sleeves: combine organisational design thinking with data-driven insights to diagnose issues and drive high-performance cultures in fast-paced environments.
Curious and data-minded: use insights and experimentation to improve team effectiveness and build inclusive cultures. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proven experience managing complex employee relations matters and delivering strategic people projects with demonstrated impact on organizational performance.

We break it up into 4 stages:
Initial call with someone in the Talent team (45 mins)
A skill-based interview where you’ll discuss your experience as a People Partner, especially supporting Technology teams and UK employee relations (1 hour)
A culture interview to explore how your ways of working align with our values and ways of partnering with leaders (1 hour)
A conversational meeting with a senior Technology leader to understand the context you’d be partnering in and ask any final questions (30–45 mins)
We’ll let you know if you’re invited to an interview or not. But, as a small team with a lot of applications to consider, we can’t give individual feedback on each application.
Background checks
As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and trustworthy environment, we’ll carry out standard background checks, including a DBS and a Cifas check.
