About the job

As our People Operations Specialist, you’ll be the engine behind our People function—ensuring our systems, processes, and policies are efficient, compliant, and scalable. You’ll play a key role in delivering a seamless employee experience while supporting our growth across the UK and beyond. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment and loves building structure in a scaling business.

The Role and Responsibilities
HR Operations & Systems
  • Own and maintain our HRIS (BambooHR), ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, and internal mobility workflows.
  • Support payroll processing and benefits administration in partnership with Finance and external providers.
Compliance & Policy
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law, GDPR, and right-to-work requirements.
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and contracts.
  • Coordinate visa sponsorship processes and track immigration status where applicable.
People Analytics & Reporting
  • Produce regular reports on headcount, turnover, DEI metrics, and engagement trends.
  • Support compensation reviews and workforce planning with clean, actionable data.
  • Partner with Finance and Legal on audits and statutory reporting.
Employee Experience & Support
  • Be a subject matter expert for employee queries on policies, benefits, and systems.
  • Support the team on engagement initiatives, wellbeing programmes, and internal communications.
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle events (e.g., promotions, parental leave, probation reviews).
Projects & Process Improvement
  • Identify and implement scalable improvements to People processes, including embedding AI into operational efficiency.
  • Support cross-functional projects such as HR tech upgrades, benefits review and global or M&A expansion.
  • Document workflows and build playbooks for repeatable excellence.
Required Experience
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HR systems and data management (e.g., HRIS, ATS, payroll tools).
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in solving problems.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-first mindset.
  • Passion for building inclusive, efficient, and people-centric processes.
