Contract type: Fixed term until April 2027. Salary: CSET 9 or 10, starting salary dependent on experience.

FTE (£27,255 - £30,024) Hours: Up to 37 per week (part time and flexible working options available)
Location: This role is based at Marlwood School, with some school and remote working available.

Looking to develop your expertise in HR systems and people data within a supportive environment?

This fixed-term role places you at the heart of our digital transformation as we implement our Trust wide HR Information Systems (HRIS). You will play a vital role in cleansing and structuring the data that will underpin our new system, ensuring we have the high‑quality insights needed to support our schools.

If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to join CSET during an exciting period of change.

About the role

We are seeking a People Data Administrator to join our People Operations Team.

Your primary focus will be preparing for the smooth implementation of the Trust’s HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring our people data is accurate, consistent, and ready for future organisational growth.

Reporting to the Head of People Operations, you will be responsible for interrogating complex data from multiple sources, identifying discrepancies, and performing essential data cleansing and validation.

Beyond the system implementation, you will support statutory returns, contribute to people reporting, and work collaboratively to provide high-quality data that shapes our HR initiatives and supports school improvement.

About you

You bring a blend of technical curiosity and meticulous attention to detail, with a genuine interest in how high-quality data can improve organisational processes.

You are someone who enjoys the "detective work" of identifying errors and inconsistencies, ensuring that every record is accurate, compliant, and reliable.

With strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to learning new digital tools, you thrive in a collaborative team that values shared problem solving and delivering high‑quality outputs.

What you’ll bring
  • Proven experience working with HR, payroll, MIS, or similar data systems.
  • The ability to interrogate datasets, spot trends, and take appropriate action to maintain accurate records.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in data entry, validation, and record‑keeping.
  • Confidence using Excel (including sorting, filtering, and formulas) to manipulate and organise information.
  • The ability to handle confidential information with integrity and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
Desirable
  • Experience working in a school, Multi‑Academy Trust, or similar multi‑site organisation.
  • Familiarity with education‑based systems such as Bromcom or iTrent.
  • An interest in or working towards a qualification in HR, Data Administration, or Business Administration (e.g., CIPD Level 3).

This role supports the essential day‑to‑day work of the People Team while helping us strengthen our HR data and systems ahead of the new HRIS.
