Overview

Are you ready to join a fantastic People and OD Team that is enthusiastic, solution-focused, and works collaboratively with Faculties and Departments? We are looking for a proactive People Adviser to join our People & Organisational Development team, supporting a diverse academic and professional services workforce. A People Adviser who shares our commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and empathetic leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and advice throughout the full employee journey, ensuring a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Coach managers in early resolution and formal employee relations concerns, fostering a supportive environment where employees can thrive.
  • Utilize your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and effectively address People and OD matters.
  • Demonstrate high levels of organizational skills to manage your time efficiently and handle multiple priorities with ease.
  • Bring a professional attitude and keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of your work.
  • Support efforts to promote well-being, diversity, and a shared sense of belonging, while contributing to effective change management processes.

Working arrangements and benefits

In this role you will primarily provide support to the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff but will also support allocated managers at USW. We are currently operating a hybrid-model of working; the successful candidate would be expected to work on site at RWCMD for two days per week and attend meetings at the Treforest campus where necessary. We offer a number of employee benefits including a generous pension scheme and flexibility in working arrangements.
