About the Role
As a Pensions Lawyer you will work alongside highly experienced pensions specialists with expertise across all areas of pensions law. You will be part of a friendly collegiate team that values collaboration, idea‑sharing and contributions from all levels and works closely with the firm’s busy and high‑performing corporate department.
Your responsibilities will include
- Providing technically excellent pensions advice across trustee advisory, corporate support and public sector pensions work
- Advising elite trustee clients on complex pensions matters
- Supporting significant corporate projects with pensions elements
- Working on public sector pensions including LGPS and central government departments with multi‑billion‑pound liabilities
- Translating complex pensions jargon into clear practical guidance for clients
- Collaborating with the corporate department on integrated client solutions
- Managing a diverse caseload across all areas of pensions law
- Contributing to business development opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Ensuring accurate time recording, billing and WIP management
- Maintaining up‑to‑date technical expertise in pensions law
- Actively participating in team growth and development initiatives
Delivering exemplary client service and care

What Were Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with 2-10 years PQE in pensions law (applications welcomed at all experience levels)
- Trained and qualified with a recognised pensions team
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions law
- Ability to deliver complex advice in a clear accessible manner
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of client business
- Proven track record of competent financial management and case management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self‑starting friendly individual with collaborative approach
- Good IT skills and confidence with case management systems
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Ability to consistently demonstrate the firm’s values
Desirable
- Experience with trustee advisory work
- Knowledge of public sector pensions (LGPS central government)
- Corporate pensions support experience
- Business development or client relationship management experience
- Additional pensions qualifications (PMI APMI)
