Job description

3B Data Security, a UBDS Group Company, are looking for a skilled and experienced Penetration Tester who can provide exceptional service delivery and contribute to the continued expansion of the organisation.

We can offer you a varied and exciting caseload ranging from automated vulnerability assessments, network and application testing to social engineering and Red Team engagements. You will also work with the Digital Forensic Incident Response Team on hacking and incident response investigations.

In addition to the above there is also the opportunity to be involved in malware reverse engineering, bespoke testing of devices and developing and delivering training courses.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading on and managing a wide portfolio of penetration testing engagements ensuring they are completed on time.
  • Supporting the Head of Security Testing on more complex and large-scale projects.
  • Creating high quality reports, ensuring complex technical data is conveyed in a way that is meaningful for customers.
  • Build meaningful relationships with customers, ensuring they are kept up to date on the progress of the engagement and any pertinent findings in a timely manner.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert, supporting customers to better understand their situation and the value that 3B Data Security can bring to their organisation.
  • Provide technical presales support where necessary, to assist in the scoping of new engagements.
  • Support the department lead and senior management in identifying business development opportunities, assisting in the development and implementation of such opportunities.

Requirements

Key Requirements and Attributes:

  • A solid background in penetration testing with demonstrable experience in Infrastructure, web and API testing. You will be working in a related position currently with practical experience in the field.
  • CRT or OSCP qualification is desirable.
  • An ability to achieve and hold UK security clearance is essential.
  • You must be passionate and enthusiastic for penetration testing and be proactive to increase your knowledge and skills in this area.
  • You must have excellent communication skills and be customer focused.
  • Due to the nature of the role, ideally you would have your own transport and be able to react at short notice when needed.
  • The role is flexible and you will be expected to manage your own work load to maximise your efficiency. You will either be home or office based, whichever is most beneficial, and you will also work on customers sites, both in the UK and internationally.
