Job Title: PE Teacher

Location: York

Start Date: October 2025

Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (Guaranteed Pay)

Pay: £130 to £251.71 per day

A Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) within York is looking for an enthusiastic Girls PE teacher. The role starts in October 2025 and will run until the Christmas break in the first instance, with a view to extending for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Note: The following responsibilities reflect the role and expectations for a Girls PE teacher within KS3 and KS4.

  • Deliver PE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students with engaging and inspiring instructional strategies.
  • Manage coursework preparation, building up to end‑of‑year qualification requirements.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that are inclusive, challenging and aligned with the SOW provided by the trust/school.
  • Collaborate with a team of specialists and contribute to the progression of all students.
  • Be organized and innovative, drawing on student interests to drive progress.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Hold a recognised UK teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 PE.
