Location: Grantham (NG31)

Pay Rate: £150 – £220 per day (DOE)

Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Long-Term Cover

Are you a dedicated PE Teacher with experience supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs? A specialist SEMH school in Grantham is seeking a full-time teacher to join their team on a long-term (sickness cover) basis. This role is ideal for someone who brings empathy, resilience, and a passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons tailored to learners with SEMH needs
  • Implement restorative and trauma-informed strategies to support behaviour
  • Establish supportive and respectful relationships with pupils, families, and staff
  • Help students work towards EHCP targets while encouraging personal development
  • Create a classroom environment that is inclusive, safe, and structured
  • Track and assess progress, adjusting approaches where required
  • Take part in school‑wide activities, events, and enrichment sessions
Qualifications
  • QTS or a recognised teaching qualification (required)
  • Experience within SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision settings (advantageous but not mandatory)
