Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a secondary school on a maternity cover basis, starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality physical education lessons, inspiring students to develop their fitness, teamwork and sporting skills.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in line with the national curriculum.

  • Encourage participation in a range of sports and physical activities, promoting health and wellbeing.

  • Organise and lead extracurricular clubs, teams and sporting events where required.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and providing constructive feedback.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to support each student’s development.

Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Physical Education.

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills as a PE Teacher.

  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
