An educational institution in the UK is seeking a Higher Level Sports and PE Teaching Assistant to design and oversee a high-quality physical education program aimed at increasing participation in sports. The ideal candidate must have a sports qualification and experience working with children. The role is part-time during term time only, offering a starting salary of £18,059. Contract: FTC until July 2026
Working Pattern: Term time only (39 weeks)
Hours: 25 hours per week 11am-4.15pm Monday-Friday
Actual Starting Salary: £18,059 per annum
Salaries are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.

We are looking for a Higher Level Sports and PE Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team.
You will design, implement and oversee a coordinated programme of high-quality, professional coaching and physical education that is developmentally appropriate, responsive to the needs of all children and aligned with the academy’s goal of increasing participation in PE and school sport.
The successful candidate will have a sports qualification and experience of working with children.

All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check. This role is considered exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013, 2020 and 2023.
