PBS Support Worker (Positive Behaviour Support)
Location: North Walsham
Contract: Temporary – Minimum 12 weeks
Hours: 37.5 per week | Rolling rota (days, nights, waking nights & sleep-ins)

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting 6 PBS Support Workers to join a dedicated service in North Walsham. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference by supporting individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, communication differences, and physical health challenges. Some individuals may also have a forensic background.

The Role

Working under the guidance of a Team Leader, you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care that empowers people to live as independently as possible and enjoy fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver daily living and personal care in a strengths-based, person-centred way.

Collaborate with clinical teams, families, and networks to implement tailored support plans (LIFE book).

Promote wellbeing through activities, community involvement, and reducing isolation.

Support health improvement initiatives, safe practice, and medicines optimisation.

Create safe and inclusive environments using creative approaches and assistive technology.

Use Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to manage behaviours of concern while maintaining dignity and respect.

Safeguard service users in line with the Mental Capacity Act and regulatory standards.

Escalate concerns appropriately and contribute to effective risk management and auditing processes.

Requirements

Level 2 Diploma in Care (or willingness to study) OR equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar support role.

Enhanced DBS check and two professional references.

Full UK driving licence with the ability to commute independently.
