Overview

Payroller — North Cardiff — Up to £30,000 + Benefits — Full-time Office-based 37.5 hours per week

Môrwell Talent Solutions is delighted to be partnering with an award-winning, fast-growing company to recruit an experienced Payroller into its small, close-knit finance team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the end-to-end payroll process, managing a complex weekly payroll for 500 temporary workers, while also providing occasional support to colleagues across the wider finance function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, motivated payroll professional who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Accurate processing of large volumes of weekly timesheets.
  • Full end-to-end payroll, including HMRC submissions.
  • Processing P45s, P60s, and attachment of earnings orders.
  • Ensuring compliance for new starters and leavers.
  • Managing pension auto-enrolment and opt-outs.
  • Downloading and applying HMRC tax codes and student loan deductions.
  • Handling payroll queries (holiday pay, sick pay, etc.).
  • Submitting weekly FPS and pension uploads.
  • Supporting general finance administration as required.
About You
  • Proven payroll experience, ideally within high-volume weekly payroll.
  • Confident working to tight deadlines and managing competing workloads.
  • Excellent Excel and IT skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently at all levels.
  • High attention to detail, methodical, and highly organised.
  • Tenacious and self-motivated, with a proactive approach.
  • Knowledge of IQX and Staffology desirable but not essential.
  • AAT qualification beneficial but not essential.
