Qualifications

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team and ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ payroll experience, be CIPP qualified or equivalent, and be confident working with payroll systems such as ADP. Knowledge of Workday would be advantageous. The role is office based at our head office in Colliers Wood with occasional travel to support training sessions at other company locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll data within the HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Calculate and process statutory and company-related leave entitlements including holiday, sick, maternity, and other family-related pay.
  • Ensure payroll calculations comply with company policies, contractual terms, and statutory legislation.
  • Accurately calculate pay for new hires, leavers, and contractual changes.
  • Manage end-to-end pension processing, including enrolments, opt-outs, contribution uploads, reconciliations, and submissions to pension providers.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to support payroll-related accounting activities, including the preparation and reconciliation of payroll journals.
  • Support monthly and bi-weekly payroll cycles as required.
  • Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and statutory submissions.
  • Provide responsive and customer-focused support to employees and managers regarding payroll queries.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll administration or payroll officer roles.
  • CIPP qualification (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Experience using Workday and ADP payroll systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, statutory requirements, and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience in the healthcare sector and / or working with a majority of shift workforce beneficial / desirable
  • A clear communication style and a team-player attitude
