Our client, a fast-growing international technology company, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and develop a medium-sized payroll team. This is a key leadership role for an individual who brings deep international payroll expertise and a strong appetite for process innovation, including the adoption of AI-driven solutions.

Role Overview

You will own the end-to-end payroll function across multiple geographies, with specific responsibility for the UK and Poland. You will ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. The organisation is undergoing significant transformation, and you will play a central role in modernising payroll operations, optimising workflows, and embedding new technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a medium-sized payroll team across multiple countries.
  • Oversee accurate and compliant processing of monthly payrolls, with strong knowledge of UK and Polish legislation.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support organisational change and integration activities.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline operations, including the use of automation and AI-enabled tools.
  • Maintain and enhance payroll controls, governance, and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and team capability.

  • Proven track record managing international payroll, including hands‑on experience
