A regional healthcare provider in England is seeking a Patient Progress Chaser to support effective patient flow in the Emergency Department. You will coordinate care with medical staff and maintain accurate records within electronic systems. Essential skills include excellent communication and the ability to remain calm under pressure. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Patient Progress Chaser role within the Emergency Department. We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to support our fast-paced department attending to over 100000 patients annually. Progress Chasers will be vital in supporting safe and effective patient flow through the department, ensuring patient safety targets are maintained.
Working within a large multi-disciplinary team you will liaise with ED Doctors, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and Nurses, Specialty Teams, Management, Site Capacity and other support teams such as Porters. The ability to remain calm under pressure is essential in our fast-paced department. Excellent administrative and IT skills are required to ensure accurate documentation throughout the patient journey using systems such as Lorenzo and Nervecentre.
