Patient Process Administrator

An opportunity has become available to join the Royal Derby Hospital's Emergency Department as a Patient Process Administrator.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team for the Adult and Children's Emergency Department providing a comprehensive front line receptionist/administrative service booking in patients and answering enquiries from patients, relatives and staff.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for processing patient details to create and maintain the patient's record whilst they are within the Emergency Department.

The post works on a 24-hour shift rotation, rotating between the 4 areas within the department. The role is based within the busy, clinical environment of the Emergency Department.

You will be required to assist with the mentoring of new PPAs to the department.

This position is offered as a secondment. Accordingly, you are required to consult with your manager and obtain approval prior to submitting your application.
