A major healthcare provider in England is seeking an administrative support professional to ensure effective service delivery. Responsibilities include managing reception duties, coordinating patient enquiries, handling billing and invoicing, and providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and maintain operational data quality in a dynamic environment. The postholder will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient service in line with department and Trust standards policies and procedures. Duties will include coordinating diaries, reception, answering enquiries both through email and telephones, appointment bookings and billing support. The successful candidate will also be required to provide administrative support, as well as performing other administrative duties including taking payment for self‑funding patients and providing operational administrative support to the Practice Manager. Occasionally, the successful candidate may be required to provide administrative assistance to cover clinics taking place in the evening and over the weekend.
The role will also involve managing and overseeing the financial administrative component of the Practice management software i.e. processing invoices for self‑funded and insured patients, collecting patient payments and monitoring and updating operational data quality.

SLaM employ around 5,000 staff and serve a local population of 1.1 million people. We have more than 230 services including inpatient wards, outpatient and community services. Currently, we provide inpatient care for approximately 5,300 people each year and treat more than 45,000 patients in the community in Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.
The successful candidate will work closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and Psychological Therapists who offer private assessments and treatment from the service through a practising privileges arrangement. The post holder will proactively build excellent working relationships with all colleagues involved in the service as well as external stakeholders.
The post holder will deliver excellent customer service at all service touch points including enquiry, bookings, arrival, departure and during service delivery, to ensure patients, families and carers receive an outstanding experience.
