Qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Senior: At least 3 years of postdoctoral or industry experience developing computational methods for next-generation sequencing data.
  • Experience with efficient storage and search methods for DNA sequences.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop novel computational approaches for genome assembly.
  • Collaborate with scientists to apply AI/ML to pathogen space challenges.
  • Benchmark using public datasets and guide validation efforts.
