Overview

Pastry Chef De Partie

Here at Harrods, we currently house more celebrity chefs, exclusive dining brands and unique food halls than any other location in the UK. As a Pastry Chef de Partie you will be joining a passionate, supportive, and award-winning pastry team, all within our iconic Knightsbridge store.

About the Role

As a Chef De Partie, you’ll ensure that our world-class food halls and patisserie counters are stocked with mesmerizing products ready for our customers to take away to enjoy at home, each and every day. Working close to award winning Head Pastry Chefs, your role is to act as a vital part of the Pastry team by ensuring the smooth running of a section and providing support to the Sous Chef and other team members.

In this role, you’ll actively provide direction and support to the team to deliver the day to day operational requirements. You’ll assist the management in the planning and forecasting of stock and orders, support with the organisation, stock rotation and labelling of food that is stored. You’ll guarantee that Food Safety standards are adhered to by enforcing a high standard of hygiene and sanitation in all-food related outlets.

About You

You’ll have a strong track record working in fine patisserie, with time spent in a 5* luxury hotel, high end patisserie or similar environment. Having a great knowledge and passion for food and drink is essential. You’ll have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties.

You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and a good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels. You’ll be able to demonstrate effective leadership and management skills by coaching, inspiring and motivating the team. Having good PC literacy is a must.
