It is an extraordinary school, offering a classical yet forward-thinking education, rooted in a love of academic discovery and enriched by a broad co-curricular programme, nurturing wellbeing provision and a strong commitment to partnerships and community initiatives. The post

St Paul29s Girls' School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to provide administrative support to the Wellbeing Team and the Heads of Year in the Lower School and Middle Schools.

Inspiring confidence, trust and confidentiality, they will provide administrative support and assistance, working closely with the PA to the Director of Pastoral Care to ensure joined up pastoral care and continuity for all students and excellent service to students and parents. They will also coordinate the staff and spaces working in the Wellbeing Centre and monitor students as they take time out from school activities when they must be monitored and closely observed.

The post-holder needs to be comfortable with sensitive pastoral situations and with often being the first port of call for vulnerable students. They must maintain discretion at all times as they will be privy to a significant amount of confidential information pertaining to both staff and students. This is not solely an administrative post, and the job includes dealing with staff and students and often in situations when they will have to think quickly and to act spontaneously in order to ensure the safety of individuals and to minimise the risk which they can sometimes pose to themselves and to others.

The post will suit someone with excellent administrative skills with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to develop new skills. Experience of working within a school environment is preferred but not essential.

The post holder will be based in the Wellbeing Centre and report to the Deputy Head, Director of Pastoral Care.

Working hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, although there is some flexibility as to start and end times which can be discussed at interview.
