Connect2Luton is excited to recruit a Passenger Assistant on behalf of Luton Borough Council within the Passenger Transport Unit department. You will be working with the general public and transporting up to 16 passengers at any one given time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport passengers to various locations across Luton.
  • Create a safe, supportive atmosphere for passengers in line with safety guidelines.
  • Ensure all safety checks are carried out in line with standard procedures.
  • Check vehicles to ensure they are clean and fuelled appropriately.
  • Report any incidents within the safety guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Valid driving licence with a D1 category.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient communicator in English.
  • Experience driving larger vehicles and basic maintenance knowledge (basic training provided).
  • Confident interaction with members of the general public.
  • Ability to lift items such as wheelchairs and buggy equipment.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
