Job description

The Role

Reporting to the Parts Manager, the emphasis of this role is to provide sales, stock control, stock flow and administration in relation to replacement parts for Thermo King, Anteo, Whiting and other products as and when required.

This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

RESONSIBILITIES
  • Carry out storage and stock control procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Group Procurement Officer to maintain minimum stock levels.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all goods purchased with a PO are receipted into the warehouse and relevant process is followed. In addition, all goods are accounted for and unpacked - reconciled.
  • Customer advice and sales activities.
  • Fill orders and arrange dispatch.
  • Monitor stock levels monthly for all parts, measure inventory turnover rates and ensure stock levels are at the appropriate levels based on reorder points and safety stock.
  • Verify stock quantity and quality delivered is correct and invoices reflect agreed prices.
  • Use Microsoft NAV or equivalent ERP system to receipt goods.
  • Communicate to customers as to the status of arrival of ordered parts/goods.
  • Monitor part performance and address slow moving/inadequate part performance as necessary.
  • Support the other members of the Group Operations Department as required.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of files and records for an efficient operation of the parts department within the system.
  • Maintain strong supplier and customer relationships.
  • Promote strong relations with sub‑agents and product dealers to support customer needs.
  • Carry out all other tasks requested by Management.
  • Ensure all Department processes, procedures and activities are recorded and that ongoing reviews and corrective actions are performed to ensure the Department is improving continuously.
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve processes and systems.
  • Monday to Friday rotating roster with some overtime and Saturday work if and when required.
Who we require
  • A current forklift licence is preferable
  • A current manual driver’s licence/MR licence would be advantageous
  • A good understanding of computer systems
