Job summary

A college in Scotland is seeking a Part Time Variable Lecturer in Engineering to deliver high-quality teaching in offshore wind subjects. Ideal candidates must have industry experience and an SVQ Level 3 in Engineering. The role involves both theory and practical teaching, assessment of student work, and innovative curriculum development. Part Time Variable Lecturer - Engineering - Offshore WindRate of Pay: £22.99 - £27.64 per hour (dependent on experience)Campus: ArbroathWe require an enthusiastic and motivated individual to teach in the curriculum area of Engineering. The role involves delivering high quality teaching and learning, both theory and practical, assessment of student work and all associated administration. The successful applicants will be an integral part of the team, responsible for developing establishing partnership working that enhances innovative curriculum development within the area of Wind and related sustainability subjects. Experience of working in the wind turbine industry is essential. The ideal candidate will have an appropriate qualification, at minimum SVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline, have industry experience and a flexible and practical approach to teaching delivery in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate would also have or be willing to work towards achieving the L&D9 and L&D11 Assessor and Verifier qualifications and ideally have teaching experience although it is not essential as full training will be provided.

This role requires a high level of professional knowledge, experience and understanding of the subject area and will involve delivering high quality teaching and learning, assessment of student work and providing feedback to students.If successful Dundee and Angus College will help you to gain registration with the General Teaching Council Scotland (GTCS). The College will work with you and support the successful candidate to achieve the qualifications and professional learning required for registration, you must be willing to undertake any training and development necessary to gain registration.
