Job description
Overview

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Painter/Decorator in HMP Full Sutton, Moor Lane, Full Sutton, York YO41 1PS.

The standard hours of work are 24 hours per week. Staff are required to work between 08:00 - 16:30, Monday to Wednesday. There may be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends on a rota basis, with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary.

What you will do
  • Planned and reactive paint work in all areas of the prison.
  • Responsibility for the care and maintenance of tools, materials and additional company property.
  • Compliance with relevant company Health & Safety Policy, instructions and directive.
  • Guiding and supporting prisoners in Painting and Decorating as part of Amey's CRED programme.
What you will bring
  • Comfortable working alongside prisoners.
  • Good awareness and understanding of personal health and safety, method statements and risk assessments.
  • Sharing best practice with others.
  • NVQ level 3 in Painting and Decorating; NVQ level 2 will be considered.
  • Previous relevant work-related experience.
