Job summary

A dedicated education recruitment agency is looking for a part-time Functional Skills Tutor to assist post-16 learners in Bromley. Responsibilities include delivering tailored lessons in English and/or Maths while accommodating learners with additional needs. Ideal candidates will have teaching qualifications or relevant experience, and be able to work flexibly. This role offers an hourly rate of £25 and aims to support students in achieving their Functional Skills qualifications through small-group or one-on-one sessions.

Qualifications

• Appropriate teaching qualification or relevant Functional Skills teaching experience.
• Experience in Functional Skills English and/or Maths delivery.
• Experience assisting post-16 learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and supportive lessons in English and/or Maths.
• Plan and deliver tailored sessions to build learners' confidence.
• Monitor learner progress and provide ongoing support.

Skills

Teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent)

Experience delivering Functional Skills English and/or Maths from Entry Level 3 to Level 2

Experience working with post-16 learners

SEN and/or SEMH experience
