Overview

art4you Scotland is seeking a part-time artist joining our team to work with our students delivering courses in painting and drawing across a range of media.

art4you Scotland is a private art school located north of Glasgow, near Killearn. Our studio is based at Oakwood Garden Centre, close to Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park and beside the West Highland Way. We offer a wide programme including weekly art classes, one-day weekend workshops, and five-day art weeks. As we continue to grow, we are looking to expand our team of artists to support the delivery of existing/new courses and workshops. Our students range in age from 8 to 80+, with a wide variety of abilities and experience levels. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed artist to join our friendly and creative team.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and dynamic art classes and/or workshops to individuals and groups
Plan and adapt lessons to suit a range of skill levels, from beginners to advanced learners
Incorporate drawing fundamentals to strengthen students’ overall artistic development
Demonstrate techniques and provide constructive, encouraging feedback
Inspire creativity and independent thinking in students
Provide feedback on student progress and guidance for further development

You will begin by work-shadowing existing courses and, following a short transition period supported by our Lead Artist, take responsibility for your course/es independently, with the possibility of delivering additional classes in the future.
