About ACP
Ambulnz Community Partners (ACP) are excited to announce new opportunities for paramedics at our Cramlington base, offering bank, self‑employed and PAYE positions. ACP are a proud, established private ambulance provider with a deeply rooted history of supporting the NHS, assessing, caring, treating and transporting hundreds of patients in urgent and emergency situations every day across the country.
Responsibilities
- Working as part of a team, with either an Emergency Medical Technician or an Emergency Care Assistant.
- Mentoring staff such as Newly Qualified Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians and Emergency Care Assistants.
- Providing lifesaving treatment and stabilising patients, preparing them for transporting.
- Using your own appropriate knowledge and skills to make judgements and treatment following your level of training and competency.
- Responding to operational requirements in a safe and efficient way as directed by the Emergency Operations Centre.
- Driving all types of approved Ambulance Service vehicles under normal and emergency (blue light) conditions in accordance with road traffic law.
Role Requirements
- Hold a UK manual 'Category B' driving licence for at least 1 year and no more than 6 points on your licence, as well as being over the age of 23 (for insurance purposes).
- Hold a paramedic qualification, be on the HCPC register and hold an emergency driving qualification.
- Physical fitness is important in this role as there is sometimes a requirement to reach inaccessible patients in a hurry, carry out manual handling and CPR.
- Have a warm and caring personality with the ability to connect with people.
- Have quality references covering the last three years of employment history and a satisfactory, enhanced DBS check.

Salary
PAYE/BANK Pay Rates:
- Salary = £51,324–£54,600 per annum based on a 5 on 4 off rota, working different shift times!
- Paramedic (PAYE) Days – £23.50
- Paramedic (PAYE) Nights – £25.00
- Paramedic (PAYE) Weekend Nights (Friday–Sunday) – £26.50
